We are currently recruiting for PND Researchers to work at the Police Headquarters of Greater Manchester Police.

For this role you must be a qualified PND Operator with an In Date Licence.

This is a temporary ongoing role working Monday to Friday 37 hours a week.

PLEASE NOTE DUE TO POLICE VETTING YOU MUST HAVE RESIDED WITHIN THE UK CONTINUOUSLY FOR AT LEAST 3 YEARS.

GMP along with all other UK forces are required to undertake a Historical Data Wash which is a check of the Police National Database's current 5.6 billion records to establish if there is any match to the HR records held by forces of their staff members.

GMP have supplied details of police officers and staff employed within the force to the Police Crime Prevention Initiatives (Police CPI) who are a private sector IT services and consulting company that designed and maintain the Police National Database on behalf of the Home Office and UK policing.

Around 31 March GMP will be sent the results of these checks which will then need to be assessed and analysed by a dedicated team of staff all of whom must be PND trained and proficient in its use.

Once the analysis has taken place and the relevant actions taken by the most suitable department in the force, each force will then send information back to Police CPI who will then prepare a report based on all of the forces findings to the National Police Chief's Counsel.
