Description:
We are currently recruiting for pet carer roles to support a trial for our client based at the world's leading pet nutrition centre in Waltham on the Wolds, Leicestershire.

For the trial you would be require to observe dogs, remove all faeces, collect urine and faeces samples and record information and data. This work plays a crucial role within our trials and provides a great starting point for those wanting to pursue a career within animal nutrition, husbandry, training or research.

This trial involves working on either 12 or 8 hour shifts, both during the day and over night and dates of work will include weekends and bank holidays. For some of these shifts you would also be required to be on standby where you may be required to work to cover absences and/or provide additional resource requirements.

There are 2 roles available;
*1 role are working 0730-1530 with 3 shifts and 3 standby shifts every other week
*1 role working 1930-0730 working 3 shifts and 1 standby every other week

Interviews to be held as soon as possible.
Training for successful applicants will begin on Monday 23rd April 2018 for two weeks 0800-1600 Monday to Friday.

Duties:
*Observe dogs both during the day and at night
*Providing faeces and urine collection and sampling
*Recording information and following guidelines
*Providing animal husbandry as required
*Cleaning and tidying of animal pens and work areas

Requirements:
*Basic literacy skills and the ability to follow instructions and guidelines
*Previous experience of working with dogs is advantageous
*Passion for working with animals
*The ability to work in a team
*The ability to work 12 hour shifts including nights and maintain a high standard of alertness
*Flexibility to work standbys and additional shifts as required
*Own car is essential due to location
*Successful applicants will need to undergo security checks and undertake a medical that includes a drug test
