Description:
We are currently recruiting for a range of roles for our client based at the world's leading pet nutrition centre in Waltham on the Wolds, Leicestershire.

Our pet carer roles provide husbandry support for dogs and/or cats and provide a great starting point for candidates keen to pursue a career in animal care. These roles provide experience and development in animal care, training, behaviour and pet nutrition.

Details:
These roles are part time with an average of 15 hours per week, 0800-1600, working on a rota that includes weekends and standby shifts. There may be additional shifts available to cover holiday, absence and additional requirements. For standby shifts you would be required to be on call for a period in the morning to cover absences and provide additional resource if required.
These roles are on a temporary contract until June 2018, after this point you may be offered a longer assignment if suitable. Training for roles is to start on Monday 23rd April 2018 for 3 weeks full time Monday to Friday.

Duties:
*Provide husbandry support for animals
*Provide routine exercise and socialisation sessions for animals
*Move animals as requested during the day
*Provide toys for animals
*Removing animal waste, cleaning animal pens and paddocks
*To keep the unit and animal areas clean and tidy
*To ensure animal welfare standards are maintained
Requirements:
*Basic literacy skills and the ability to follow instructions and guidelines
*Previous experience of working with animals is advantageous
*Passion for working with animals
*The ability to work in a team
*Own car is essential due to location
*Successful applicants will need to undergo security checks and
undertake a medical that includes a drug test
