Adecco have a fantastic opportunity to join a well established company based in Newbury. Our client is looking for a Payroll Manager to join their team permanently. The role is working Monday to Friday and offering a salary up to £45,000.

Duties and responsibilities include:

* Process and manage the monthly payrolls from start to finish ensuring accurate and timely processing so that employees are paid correctly and on time
* Deduct tax and National Insurance payments as required and process holiday, sick and maternity pay, part-time pays and adjustments accordingly
* Check and review the payrolls before producing a payroll sign off report
* Generate payroll reports, including financial reports to the Accounts teams.
* Answer staff queries relating to payroll and deductions
* Identify, investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll
* Complete all statutory reporting to the HMRC
* Year-end submissions
* Issue P45, P60s, and liaise with the external tax adviser and the Office and Facilities Manager to produce accurate P11Ds
* Manage the production of offer letters and new starter packs for all potential new employees, ensuring all job offers are correctly authorised
* Manage the administration of the Group benefits schemes, including, Income Protection, Life Assurance, BUPA and pension schemes
* Work with the Division based Personnel Officers on all aspects of personnel and payroll administration
* Maintain and update personal records on the system and manual personnel files, ensuring all changes to terms and conditions are appropriately authorised, documented and processed through the payroll
* Manage, motive and plan the workload of the team
* Assist the Group Personnel Manager with any task as reasonable requested
* Adhere to company personnel and payroll policies and comply with UK statutory requirements

Candidates will ideally have/be:

* Around 3 years' experience of running a payroll in house and have a recognised payroll qualification
* Experience of working with confidential information and have the ability to communicate with all levels within the organisation
* Excellent attention to detail and the need to get things right first time
* The ability to work to tight deadlines and enjoy multi-tasking and juggling jobs
* Knowledge of the Cascade payroll system is desirable but not essential. Previous experience of an in-house payroll system is a must
