This Job Exists to:

Production scheduling

·  Ensure that all orders received are scheduled promptly for production and delivery to meet the customers' requirements whenever possible but without exceeding authorised factory capacities

·  Liaise with customers where required dates can't be met and agree alternative delivery dates

·  Monitor factories to ensure they are on time and adjust volumes scheduled according to how on time each factory is, to enable them to get up to date (or 'over-schedule' if they are ahead of plan)

·  Update daily, weekly and monthly scheduling reports accurately and on time

Production / Despatch support

·  Ensure that all work is batched to production accurately, in a timely manner and that the correct documentation is provided to the factory via Operations support administration in accordance with company procedures

·  Ensure that all picking notes are supplied to despatch accurately, in a timely manner and that the correct documentation is provided to the factory via Operations support administration in accordance with company procedures

·  Resolve any works details queries and liaise with IT to ensure system set up is correct

·  Update daily, weekly and monthly production Intranet and spreadsheet reports accurately and on time


·  Provide support to the Purchasing Department as required during working hours and provide cover during periods of annual leave

Responsibility for Health and Safety matters

·  To notify the Assurance Manager of any new or changed procedures that might require a new or amended Risk Assessments

·  To report to the Assurance Manager any H&S issues that arise during the course of day to day work

·  To ensure that your area of work is clean and free of hazards at all times

·  To identify and report to the Material and Planning Controller any unsafe practices or risks to team members and colleagues.

Key Performance Indicators for the job:

·  No factory lost time due to inaccurate or late batching information

·  Customers delivery requirements met, or changes agreed

·  Scheduling report information is up to date and accurate

·  Procedures are followed

·  OTIF, cost of quality and Customer complaints
