Mechanical Technician required for operating and repairing specialist machinery (training given for their equipment). The work is located in South Essex but also requires some working abroad - the company pay for all travel and expenses plus over-time rate for all time away. This takes the salary up considerably!! OTE should be around £35K.

The amount of work away is probably around 75/35 - 75% in the UK, 35% overseas. Work away is usually on a week at a time, sometimes a fortnight.

You will need proven experience within a mechanical capacity, ideally an engineering discipline. You will also need to be comfortable WORKING AT HEIGHTS and in CONFINED SPACED.

The company may need to secure Visa's for you when travelling to certain countries such as USA, so you will need a valid passport and meet with Visa criteria - i.e criminal record checks may be necessary.
