Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £29,627.88
Location: Poole
Working shift pattern:
6am - 2pm Mon-Fri 40 hours
2pm - 10pm Mon-Fri 40 hours (Rotating shift pattern)
(There is a night shift fitter who works 9pm to 7am (4 nights) 40 hours, this shift would need to be covered when they are off).

Poole based client is looking for a hands on mechanical maintenance fitter/engineer to work as part of their maintenance and production team. You will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance of large industrial machinery to ensure quality and productivity levels are kept at an optimum level.

The successful candidate will have mechanical knowledge and be able to repair and fault-find on large machinery.

This role includes a 6 month training period, so its vital you are looking for a career in Maintenance Fitting to benefit from the training and development being offered.

Duties:
- Responsible for the repair, operation and maintenance of all fixed and mobile equipment on site.
- To cooperate with managers and team leaders in the development and implementation of policy and procedures in order to achieve an excellent safety record with the aim of eliminating accidents and incidents.
- To work with managers, support functions and operational teams to identify and implement continuous improvement methods with respect to safety, quality, productivity and cost.
- To build and maintain effective relationships both within the local manufacturing teams, and with non-manufacturing colleagues to ensure excellence in terms of customer service.

To be successful in this application you will need the following:
- Logical fault diagnostics experience
- Mechanical Engineering qualification
- Strong Environmental Health and Safety awareness and certifications
- Previous experience in TPM/PPM systems
- Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Experience working in manufacturing maintenance areas
- Data collation, analysis and report or presentation
- Be a good team player
- Self motivated and conscientious
- Knowledge of PC based systems
- Previous experience welding would be an advantage as the client will ask you to weld from time to time, however training will be given as well.
