World leading manufacturing company based in Barry are currently looking to recruit a mechanical integrity engineer to work on a full time basis 40 hours per week initially on a 12 month contract.

Requirements

Category 1 or 2 Qualified Integrity Inspector with experience of inspection on PCE, heat exchange and piping. Able to perform Confined space entries, work at height and knowledgeable in NDT methods.

Plant Integrity Engineer

The prime responsibilities are to:

� Ensure that the integrity of all new and existing site pressure equipment complies with corporate standards, European and UK regulations and legislation, codes and standards for design and manufacture, and functional specifications to maximise containment and reliability of Barry site processes.

� Act as a 'Category 1 or 2 ' inspector for 'Major / Intermediate / Minor Systems' as defined in UKAS publication 'RG2: Accreditation for In-Service Inspection of pressure Systems / Equipment'.

Other key responsibilities are to:

� Act as the competent person for the Barry site with respect to the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR) 2000. Draw up or certify Written Schemes of Examination (WSEs). Review WSEs at appropriate intervals for continued suitability, modifying when appropriate. Carry out examinations in accordance with WSEs. Review requests for postponement of WSE examinations in accordance with the PSSR and in particular that they do not give rise to danger.

� Act as User-Inspectorate with respect to Pressure Equipment Safety Regulations (S.I. 2016/1105) 2016 (PER)

� Communicate and co-operate with mechanical maintenance and project groups throughout the organisation to facilitate achievement of common or complimentary goals.

� Maintain non-destructive testing qualifications as directed by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE PROFILE

� Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical or Materials Science.

� Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers or Materials.

� Chartered Engineer.

� Working experience within an engineering discipline associated with in-service inspection of pressure systems. Experience and knowledge should cover a range of activities associated with pressure vessels, heat exchangers, safety protective devices, rotating equipment, fabrication, construction, testing, design codes, H&S legislation, equipment maintenance, planning and computer based systems. Such experience should also have carried a high degree of responsibility.

Successful applicant will be required to undergo a full medical, as well as DBS (Criminal record) check. Cost of this will be met by the employer.
