Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Fitter
Salary: £10.77 - £11.32 p/h
Hours: 39 hours a week
Location: Ferndown

Large client based in Ferndown is looking for Mechanical Assembly Fitters to join their General Assembly department on a permanent basis.

The roles will be responsible for machine sub-assemblies. This includes taking inhouse manufactured and bought out components and assembling/fitting to form completed sub assemblies of conveyors, main machine drives, carriage units, guillotines and firm spindles for example.

Skills and experience required:
- Previous assembly fitting experience and/or other relevant experience
- Mechanical fitting skills including manual drilling, tapping and reaming
- Ability to read and fully comprehend engineering drawings and 3D models
- A good eye for detail is essential
- Basic computer skills in order to obtain assembly information from Intranet facility
- Pneumatic knowledge would be advantageous, however is not essential
- Ability to maintain efficient and tidy working environment
