Adecco are proud to be recruiting on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary for a Digital Communications Officer to join their team based in Stockton Heath on a part-time basis.

The purpose of the role is to deliver effective digital engagement activities to ensure that stakeholders are informed about the work of the Police and Crime Commissioner to help build trust, satisfaction and confidence in the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner.

The post holder will be expected to deliver effective digital engagement solutions to support the Communications and Engagement strategy and the Police and Crime Plan.

Duties of the post include:

·  Create meaningful and engaging digital content which includes writing copy, taking photos, creating still and motion graphics as well as filming/editing video to be used on a variety of digital engagement channels that the OPCC owns

·  Actively monitor, respond and proactively engage with users of the digital engagement channels that the OPCC owns

·  Champion and recommend digital engagement opportunities across the workforce which will include providing training and support for staff and volunteers that are authorised users of digital engagement channels

·  Maintain high levels of engagement with audiences on digital engagement channels

·  Regularly update and maintain the external website with requests from content owners across the OPCC

·  Research, analyse and recommend new digital engagement opportunities, whether creating new channels or simply finding new/smarter ways of working

·  Identify tactics and proactively increase audiences on digital engagement channels to encourage likes, follows and sign ups on a variety of digital engagement channels

·  Support the Senior Communications Officer to develop and deliver effective communications content and opportunities which promote the work of the Police and Crime Commissioner including media releases, editorial, media events, briefing notes, website copy

This is a part-time role working 3 days a week (Monday, Thursday & Friday).

This contract is initially up until the end of March 2020.

Experience in Digital Marketing is highly desirable for this post.

The successful applicant will be required to successfully pass an in-depth background check before commencing role.
