Opportunity for an experienced Production Engineer to join an established manufacturing company based in Corby as a result of their continued expansion. Working in a fast paced production line environment, you will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering Team. You will be responsible for carrying out PPM and providing reactive maintenance to breakdowns and changeovers, along with various ad hoc projects and installations.
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for two departments within the Corby plant which are Maintenance and Tooling. The individual will work closely with the Manufacturing Manager, ensuring resources are available and controlled to meet production schedules.
The role is responsible for the development and execution of a machine maintenance program which safeguards the continued process capability of all machines. The program will include all machines, common equipment and any secondary equipment installed in the plant. The aim is to eliminate unexpected machine downtime and enabling the machines to achieve standard run speeds.
In addition of the machine maintenance programme, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the procurement, delivery, maintenance and organized storage of all tooling requirements for the site. This position has planning, budgeting and expense control responsibilities.
The role is responsible for maintaining the facility (building and grounds) to a high standard of specification. The building will include maintenance and upgrades to systems including the electrical, plumbing, security and facility updates. Necessary basic supplies for maintaining the property should be held in stock.
An annual facilities plan will be generated, documenting any plans for the facility including any upgrades or maintenance activities for the next fiscal year. This plan should include items to reduce building, maintenance and equipment operating costs such as taking advantage of rebate / matching programs from utility companies or grants from economic development offices to improve the efficiency of our systems.
