Maintenance Technician

Job description

Adecco are recruiting a Maintenance Technician for a temporary to permanent opportunity with our client based in Glasgow to start beginning of January.

Rate- £14- £16 per hour
Weekly pay
Hours of Work

*3 Shift Working Rota - Working day, back and night shift on rotation
*An average of 38.5 hours per week.

Job Summary

*To provide planned preventative, routine and emergency maintenance for all plant and building services, working within the team as either a mechanical or electrical maintenance specialist
*To carry out installations (Mechanical and Electrical) in accordance with current regulations.
*To provide out of hours maintenance support as required (Via RPLS procedures).

Brief Description

*To respond to and resolve site wide reactive / planned / preventative / emergency maintenance requests submitted into CMMS to minimise downtime as required, to support RPLS.
*To carry out installation (Mechanical and Electrical) to the required standard.
*Provide practical assistance for projects and support business development, carry out experimental work.
*H&S activities such as full and rapid risk assessments of tasks and occasional working under permit to work.
*Actively contribute to company CI activities including RiPS, Kaizen, 5s standards in all areas and ensure all work is compliant with H&S standards and risk assessments
*Liaise with external suppliers for ordering of spare parts and contractors on site when required.

Requirements

*Applicants should have completed a recognised apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
*Must hold HND/HNC in Electrical / Mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent.
*Latest edition BS7671 IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.
*Must have 3-5 years proven ability working in maintenance (ideally multi disciplined) preferably in an automated manufacturing environment.
*A working knowledge of PLC's, Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic control systems would be desirable.
*Must be computer literate.
