Scope and Purpose:

Follow established procedures and guidelines to maintain and repair the organisations equipment according to specifications and schedules following established safety and quality standards.

Key Accountabilities:
* Work in a safe manner and have a proactive approach to all safety issues.
* Repair, adjust, and maintain production equipment, machinery, or instruments to ensure that it functions reliably and complies with process specifications.
* Respond to emergencies, break-downs, malfunctions, and other operating problems to minimise disruptions to manufacturing processes.
* Have knowledge of PLC's and programming techniques for both front line maintenance and process control development.
* Use Data logging Equipment to establish origin of failure on intermittent faults and for process control improvements.
* Work in a proactive way to continually improve technical knowledge and improve process.
* Implement an established maintenance programme and maintain detailed maintenance records so that recurring problems with machinery, equipment, or parts can be identified and addressed.
* Set, calibrate, or adjust equipment, machinery, and instruments so that it complies with production specifications or instructions.
* Maintain tools and repair equipment in good working order.
* Conduct periodic inspections to evaluate requests for repair.
* Interpret blueprints and schematics; implement methods, practices, and techniques to identify and address recurring problems with machinery, equipment, or parts.
* Monitor and review implementation of global health and safety standards to ensure compliance, and risk free production globally.
* Ensures compliance of safety standards undertake risk assessments and adhere to SOP's.
* Train workers in the organisation's operating procedures and standards. Provide guidance and supervision for new entrants.
* Undertake rigorous investigatory reports for defective actions/situations where appropriate.
* Support Continuous Improvement activities in the area.
* Work collaboratively with other team members and shifts to ensure effective running of the process.
* Adapt /adopt the new methods of working and/or new technology the Company introduces and undergo training as the Company directs.

The person:

The candidate should have experience of working within a similar position with a successful record of career development gained within an engineering environment. Precise, consistent work output is essential requiring patience and a willingness to handle and completing tasks to required deadlines in line with the specifications provided and have an awareness of health and safety requirements.

Ideally, you will possess previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
