Our client is a leading manufacturer of engineered steel products with a long and successful history of serving the construction and associated industries. We are currently recruiting a number of machine operators and crane operators for their base in Newport. There is potential for further development and promotion within the organisation.
Duties will include operating machinery to cut and bend steel bars to the shape and dimensions as detailed on customers schedules, using basic measuring equipment and reading drawings.
Shifts :
Nights: Sunday to Thursday 10pm-6am
39 basic hours per week, Overtime available.
Salary:
�8.42 per hour + Overtime
13 weeks + you will also be entitled to weekly Productivity Bonus + Overtime
Experience :
Ideally you will have previous experience within manufacturing or engineering industries. Experience of operating production machinery and / or cranes would be an advantage but full training will be provided.
Experience within the steel industry a strong advantage but not essential.
Attention to detail, must be physically fit and have a good degree of manual dexterity, must be able to show concentration throughout whole work process.
Must be receptive to instructions given by work supervisors.
Health and safety (Pro-Active) It is essential to have the ability and understanding to be able to interpret sketches and drawings as laid down by the customer.
