Adecco Darlington are working in partnership with a prestigious organisation who are seeking a Logistics/Transport Planner with a proven and capable background to work within their busy transport division.

The key duties are:
*Producing daily, weekly and monthly delivery schedules for the company's own fleet and third party fleet of trucks
*Liaising with internal departments, customer services, production and sales regarding all efficiency's
*Using your initiative to provide solutions to problems and coming up with contingency plans for expected delivery issues
*Negotiating transport rates
*Raising and checking transport invoices

The ideal person for this position will have proven skills in planning and coordinating multi-drop deliveries from a logistics/transport department. Must have excellent communication skills and be driven to provide a high standard service to customers and internal departments.
