Our client is looking to recruit a legal secretary to join their team in Leeds. To provide a full secretarial and support service to designated fee earners and to ensure the highest levels of efficiency by maximising work flows within and across the offices. To provide holiday, sickness and special project cover.
Administration duties to include:
-Understands systems in several departments
-Gathers information to meet deadlines
-Deals with payments in and out and arranges cheques as required
-Incepts and closes files
-Actions all file reviews if required
-Assists fee earners in preparation of legal forms
-Formats complicated documents by transporting information from excel into word and checking all headers and footers are correct.
Other duties to include:
-To be familiar with and comply with the standards as set out in the Office Handbook , the individual Departmental Handbooks and other quality standard procedures
-Undertakes specific internal IT training to keep up to date with new developments and promote self-development
-Undertakes cross firm projects if required
-Ensures Lexcel Compliance
The successful candidate will be working predominantly for commercial property, but will be providing cover to other departments such as residential property, Insolvency and Debt Recovery.
The role is a full time, permanent position and for the successful candidate will pay up to £20,000.
