As a Legal Cashier, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the Accounts Department.

·  Undertake general accounts duties including day-to-day payments, receipts, electronic payments, petty cash, bills, client enquiries, interest calculations, banking, and cheque printing.

·  Prepare financial reports as required and distribute them accordingly.

·  Assist in the half-yearly visit by the Practice's Accountants, retrieving any necessary information and investigating and correcting errors.

·  Utilise electronic banking systems to carry out transactions.

·  Check completion/financial statements for accuracy.

·  Ensure compliance with legal and financial regulations.

·  Oversee reconciliation of all Client Accounts in accordance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) and investigate and rectify any discrepancies.

·  Assist in Credit Control when required.

·  Undertake any reasonable administrative tasks assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

·  Previous experience as a Legal Cashier within a legal environment.

·  Proficiency in using accounting software.
