Are you a highly skilled Senior Workplace Engineer looking for a new opportunity to showcase your expertise? Our client, a leading finance organisation, is seeking a talented Lead Modern Workplace Engineer to join their team in Leeds.
Role Overview :
The Senior Workplace Engineer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, ongoing support, and maintenance of Microsoft 365, Azure, and limited on-premise infrastructure (networking, printing, and meeting rooms) and associated systems. This role also involves technically mentoring junior team members and acting as a subject matter expert.
Key Role and Daily Tasks
· Device, Application & Data Management : Manage Endpoint Manager, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Jamf.
· Collaboration & Unified Communications : Oversee Teams, PSTN in Teams, and Exchange.
· Office Engineering : Handle telemetry, add-on management, and governance.
· Process Automation : Utilize Power Automate for process automation.
· Identity & Access Management : Manage Entra ID.
· Cloud Services : Work with SaaS, PaaS, and IoT.
· Networking : Manage WAN, LAN, and WiFi.
· Solution Design & Development : Collaborate with Technology Architects to design new solutions and ensure development aligns with design requirements and technical policies.
Skills & Qualifications
· Strong background in designing, building, managing, and troubleshooting infrastructure and cloud-based solutions.
· Proficiency in MS365 Product Suite (Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business).
· Experience with device, application, and data management tools (Intune, Windows 10 Management).
· Knowledge of MS365 security tooling and Entra ID.
· Familiarity with networking technologies (WAN, LAN, WiFi).
· Skills in process automation and scripting (PowerShell, PowerApps, GraphAPI, Python).
· Experience with Jira and Confluence.
· Customer-focused with good stakeholder management skills.
· Ability to self-start and manage personal workload.
· Working knowledge of Agile Development Methodology.
