Our client, a prestigious garden centre, are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, friendly and professional Kitchen Assistant to join their kitchen team, on a temp to perm basis.

You will contribute to all aspects of delivering excellent quality and service to our customers.

THE ROLE OF THE KITCHEN ASSISTANT: 
- You will be responsible for promoting a clean and hygienic kitchen (surfaces, equipment, fridges, ovens and floors) following all company and legal food safety requirements and in accordance with COSHH regulations.
- You will help with all aspects of food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking menu items as instructed) and assist the Head Chef and Commis Chef during breakfast and lunch service.
- You will be responsible for sorting and storing of all food deliveries, including maintaining the store room in a clean, organised and tidy fashion, in accordance with Company, legal food safety and COSHH regulations).

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Own transport is essential as there is no public transport links nearby.
- Upbeat, hard-working and flexible attitude.
- Must be happy to work weekends and bank holidays.
- Has a passion for food, customer service, hospitality and people.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Takes pride in maintaining highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Good eye for detail.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience would be desirable but is not essential, as full training will be given.
