The Key Account Manager is responsible for fostering and growing strong commercial relationships with their allocated key customer accounts, continually improving our fuels market share at those accounts.

The core activities and skillsets in the role are:

·  Relationships - develops strong and long-lasting relationships with specialist fuel customers (from small University departments to large automotive OEMs or Oil Companies), identifying new sales opportunities and ensuring excellent delivery of product from quote to invoice.

·  Market knowledge - Develop a strong understanding of my clients product line and how it meets the range of customer needs. Shares information with the commercial and technical teams in the Company and uses that information to help drive commercial strategy and anticipate customer demands.

·  Customer Service - Expert in delivering a high level of customer service, ensuring the right fuel qualities are offered, produced and delivered in the right time frame and that customers are always satisfied.

·  Commercial expertise - Understand the economics of fuel production and the value to the customer. Able to put together attractive commercial offers that meet the customer needs while growing Company margins and delivering our long-term strategic objectives.

The person in this role will work closely with the rest of the Commercial team to develop, grow and manage their portfolio of customer accounts and opportunities. They will also work closely with the production, logistics and finance teams to ensure smooth delivery of sales. As such, they will be required to take a cooperative and pragmatic approach and contribute to the execution of orders in addition to sales activity.

·  Graduate level education or equivalent preferred

·  3 years' expertise in an account management role, ideally in a technically demanding industry.

·  Demonstrable track record of developing commercial relationships of trust with customers

·  Strong commercial acumen with an ability to identify and understand customer needs and how to fulfil those needs.

·  Willingness to learn fast.

Specific Duties

·  Maintain and grow credible and active relationships with a range of key customer accounts in the UK and Europe

·  Deliver sales in line with Annual Sales budgets, maximising gross margin.

·  Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product to the customers through effective cooperation with Company teams including technical and production.

·  Identify opportunities for new sales at each account, and share market information gleaned from customers with wider commercial team

·  Participate in regular reporting and sales forecasting activities with CCO.

The role will be office based at the onsite. It is expected that occasional travel to meet with customers will be required.
