Adecco are recruiting for a Junior Production Manager working for one of the largest food producers in Britain who pride themselves on practical knowledge and dedication to products of the highest quality. The role:
To deliver the daily production plan in the most cost effective manner and in full compliance with current customer/brand product specifications, GMP, food hygiene and health & safety legislation.
The effective management of resources to deliver agreed yield, productivity and customer service targets.
The management and development of a multi skilled, multi-disciplined team operating on shifts in a unionised environment.
To assume the duties and responsibilities of the Manufacturing Shift Manager during periods of holiday/absence.
Maintaining Health, Safety and Welfare of yourself and other employees in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 as well as adhering to COSSH regulations.
Key skills and experience:
* Excellent computer skills
* The ability to communicate clearly with staff at all levels
* Food industry background/ qualifications
* High level performer
* Ensure productivity KPI's are achieved
* Good problem-solving skills
* An understanding of manufacturing processes
* Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards
* The ability to make effective decisions under pressure
* The ability to work to deadlines
* A willingness to work flexibly
* An understanding of health and safety.
You will be required to work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern between 6am to 6pm. The salary for this position is �35,000 pa.
