Adecco are currently looking for a full time Junior Digital Designer to work for their client at a leading Global organisation based in Welwyn Garden City. The Junior Digital Designer will be working 36 hours a week and the working hours are Monday to Friday 9-5. The Junior Digital Designer will be providing temporary cover for a minimum of 3 months and should be available to start immediately. The Junior Digital Designer will be providing support to the Digital Brand Experience team within Digital Marketing.

Our Client is the UK's largest retailer and, as champions of ecommerce, they continually strive to improve and enhance there digital communications. They are currently seeking a Junior Digital Designer to join their team.

Based in there purpose built offices in Welwyn Garden City, this is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for a talented designer to begin their career at the heart of one of Britain's best-known brands.

The Role - Junior Digital Designer

You'll be part of the Digital Brand Experience team within Digital Marketing. The team consists of marketing managers, copywriters, web developers and designers that own the 'front end' content of our website and digital marketing communications such as customer emails and banner advertising. We seek to create helpful, relevant and consistent digital experiences to inspire Britain's shoppers to choose our brand.

This role will best suit a skilled individual who is passionate about digital design, proactive and, above all, a team player.

You will need to be organised, pragmatic and can multitask. One who thrives and smiles under pressure, and most importantly puts the customer first.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

This role will report into our Creative Lead and your responsibilities predominantly will include providing design support for:

*Website homepage and Store Locator
*Campaign and corporate web pages and hubs
*Email marketing
*Banner advertising
*Occasional print projects
*Internal communications

Candidate Profile

Personal:

*Degree or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design or Web Design
*Creatively driven with a keen eye for detail
*Being collaborative in approach and open to critique of their work
*Sensitivity to following brand guidelines and design standards
*Awareness of design trends and good practice across digital platforms
*Willingness to tackle a wide range of tasks from creative concepting to routine artworking across a number of formats
*Mobile-first approach to design
*Ability to demonstrate strong problem solving skills
*Ability to articulate and present thoughts and creative ideas
*Take responsibility for deliverables

Technical requirements:

Essential

*Fluency with Adobe CC software (Photoshop/ Illustrator/ InDesign)
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software

Useful

*Sketch software
*Understanding of HTML & CSS
*Familiarity with CMS (Content Management Systems) and responsive design
*Ability to draw visuals and scamps by hand
*Awareness and sensitivity to WCAG2.0 industry standards for accessibility

All candidates will be required to present a portfolio of previous work upon application and, if invited to interview, to undertake a small test project.
