Telecoms & Network Specialist (CCNA)
£65-70k Salary
Based - Hammersmith, West London W6
Mon - Fri 9am - 6pm (flexibility & some travel required)

Summary
The Telecoms & Network Specialist is responsible for providing support to the company and its partners by providing direct services in the installation, use, upgrade, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the network environment, voice, computer, server and Citrix systems.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

*Designs, installs, upgrades, configures, and repairs local and remote systems and network hardware for the company.
*Evaluates, tests, and recommends appropriate technology, assists in the preparation of proposals and solutions presentations.
*Maintains and administers perimeter security systems such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
*Installs and maintains Cisco routers, Cisco switches, and Adaptive Security Appliances.
*Maintains, supports and monitors all aspects of the Cisco Voice infrastructure - CCX and CUCM.
*Coordinate development and maintenance of system(s) infrastructure.
*Manage server volumes by ensuring sufficient disk space, verifying permissions and maintaining file ownership and managing storage quotas.
*Delivers first and second tier problem support and resolution within specified service delivery commitments across select EMEA sites.
*Works with security teams to schedule patches and other solutions for all identified vulnerabilities.
*Provides server and database support.
*Provides onsite desktop support and solutions for the company conferences.
*Provide 24x7 on call support.
*Perform other duties as assigned.
*Ensure complete and timely communications.
*Tests new computer/router/switch hardware and software solutions prior to implementation.
*Installs and tests computers and related network hardware in a networked environment.
*Installs and tests approved software and software upgrades in a networked environment.
*Coordinates development and maintenance of systems and networking infrastructure.
*Develops and coordinates network replacement plan.
*Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for all development, production networks with detailed maps.
*Phone system administration (Corporate, Shipping and Corporate Doctor's Offices).
*Assists in vendor selection and contract negotiations for voice and data services.
*Maintains, installs and provides support for video conferencing services.
*Secondary Support for corporate NMS systems (i.e. Solar Winds)

Minimum Job Requirements
System and Network Administrators must possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities and personal characteristics.

*Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques used in administering complex computer systems, Network and SAN environment.
*Citrix CCP XenApp certification.
*Cisco CCNP certification.
*Strong knowledge of CISCO Networking skills, Routers and Switches.
*Hands-on Cisco Voice experience - Minimum 5 years with call routing and scripting experience.
*Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows 2008, Windows 2003, Windows XP, UNIX, CISCO CUCM, SPLAT, CISCO CCX, and VMware.
*Certified to minimal ITIL V3 Foundation level.
*VMware Professional certification.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
*Strong customer service orientation and skills.
*Demonstrated ability to manage projects.
*Analytical and problem solving skills with keen attention to detail.
*Ability to make correct timely decisions, effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
*Skilled at working within a team-oriented / collaborative environment across teams to complete work.
*Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
*Willingness to work non-standard hours as needed for system changes and deployments.
*Self-motivated and self-directed.
*Ability to travel as required.

Desirable skills
*Ability to communicate in another European language would be advantageous (German, Italian).

Experience & Education
*Protocols: All layer 2, layer 3 (especially EIGPR & BGP) protocols
*Firewalls: Cisco ASA 5500, Palo Alto.
*Hardware Platform : Cisco ASRs, Catalyst Switches, Nexus Switches
*Strong experience in working in an AD managed environment.
*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or other relevant field.
*Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT as Windows and Citrix System Administrator plus networking and IT security.
*Knowledge of PCI compliance standards.
*Strong experience with Contact Centre.
