HR & Payroll administrator

Location: City of London

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum.

Type: Permanent, full time 37.5 hours per week

Adecco London are currently recruiting for a HR & Payroll administrator to join our award winning, international client based near St. Pauls.

Purpose of role:

The HR & Payroll Administrator actively supports the day-to-day HR operation by providing an effective and professional HR administration service to both the HR team and wider business. The role will require full responsibility for all departmental administration, including but not limited to payroll, recruitment & selection, induction, training & development, employee relations, salary reviews, probationary reviews, reward & benefits.

Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

HR Administration

·  Accountable for ensuring all HR Systems/ files always remain up to date.

·  Creating and assisting in producing various weekly, monthly and ad hoc HR reports.

·  Management of the shared HR inbox responding to all tasks within a timely manner. Completing all tasks/ requests within remit and assigning all other tasks to the appropriate HR team member.

·  Accountable for ensuring the Starter, Mover & Leaver processes.

·  Handling all data in line with Company data protection and GDPR policies and procedures

·  Drafting all HR related correspondence using company templates in line with policies and procedures.

·  Coordinate the performance management process, ensure that all mid-year and annual appraisal documents are completed and suitably recorded and filed

·  Organising lunch & learn workshops

·  Responsible for all employee benefits administration.

·  Assisting the HR Team with all relevant projects across all areas of the HR operation

Payroll

·  Complete the monthly payroll by updating the Octopus system with the necessary changes and liaising with the payroll provider, ensuring checks are made to minimise errors

·  Responsible for all aspects of a high-volume payroll, collating and validating monthly payroll data, administering all starter, movers and leaver information

·  Act as the first point of call for managing payroll queries

·  Oversee other payroll providers

·  Ensure the efficient transfer of employee information from HR to payroll

·  Point of contact on payroll, tax and/or HR policies and procedures

Employee Relations

·  Producing appropriate correspondence on employee relations issues such as absenteeism, disciplinary and grievance, maternity, paternity, parental, adoption leave, unpaid leave requests and flexible working requests using templates in line with Company policies and procedures.

·  Prepare documentation for terminations, variations of employment and probation reviews

·  Facilitating employee exit interviews

·  Note taking during meetings

·  Assisting the HR team with employee relations issues where required such as returning to work after maternity leave, flexible working requests, recruitment etc.

Person Specification: (skills, knowledge and experience required)

·  Previous experience of working in a HR Administration role

·  Experienced payroll administrator 2 years+ (ideally)

·  Proven written and verbal communication skills

·  Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work on own initiative to plan and prioritise work

·  Experience of using HR systems, data entry and production of MI reports

Desirable

·  Experience of working within professional services

·  CIPD qualification (or equivalent) an advantage
