Job Title: HR & Purchasing officer (12 month maternity cover)
Salary: up to £25,000 per annum (dependant on experience)

Adecco are currently recruiting for a 12 month maternity cover HR & Purchasing officer to join our client based in Northampton. This is a permanent opportunity paying up to £25,000 per annum - dependant on experience.

The successful candidate will be working within a fast paced, customer focused environment where attention to detail is essential.

We are looking for a strong character, who can use their own initiative and think on their feet. We are looking for a proactive and highly motivated individual with proven ability to work efficiently and on their own within a fast paced working environment. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous however is not essential.

Role Requirements / Responsibilities:



Purchasing:

Scheduling and Purchasing of raw materials, packaging supplies and purchases for resale.
Maintaining the above items on internal systems
Helping to source new suppliers
Price Negotiation with suppliers
Maintaining a packaging saving tracker
Monitor and report on QCD monthly supplier vendor ratings

HR:

Dealing with disciplinary and grievances
Recruitment and selection, including managing Agency workers
Manages changes in term and conditions of employment
Appraisal monitoring
Operates & manages plant payroll systems
Maintaining employee files
New employee inductions
Monitoring and ordering company work wear
Monitoring time & attendance for whole plant
Absence Analysis reporting
Month end reporting of HR Statistics
Deal with surveys
Role out of new policies and information / changes
Producing company Newsletter - every 2 months
Complete annual HR audits on all Departments
Monitoring of all employee's contract status
Maintaining employee skills records
Monthly HR Meeting - Presentation
Maintaining & updating plant notice boards
Arranging and planning medicals & arranging additional healthcare services
To perform all duties in a manner that demonstrates the highest level of quality and safety
Liaises with all other departments and plants

The ideal candidate:

Experience within administration
Knowledge within the logistics sector
Preference of knowledge within SAP
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Time management skills
Ability to prioritise workloads
Excellent attention to detail
Exceptional standards of customer service

Working hours
: Monday - Friday 37.5 hours (negotiable on start and finish times)
