An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR and Resourcing Partner for a private sector organisation based in Dagenham. The role is a 6 month fixed term contract with potential for further extension.

The successful candidate be CIPD level 5 qualified and have significant HR generalist experience. A good understanding of UK employment legislation is essential.

This is a new role within the organisation with an emphasis on recruitment and HR policies and procedures. The role will work as an integral part of the HR team to deliver a range of operational services to the business. The role will also take the lead in the following areas:

Recruitment and Off-boarding:

·  Take the lead on recruitment activity emerging from workforce planning undertaken by the HR Director and/or HR Business Partner

·  Ensure that all recruitment activity is cost effective and recruitment methods are tailored to each job role

·  Write job descriptions in liaison with the recruiting manager and decide on the best method of recruitment such as direct adverts, job boards or recruitment agencies

·  Assist with the short-listing process, arrange interviews and interview with managers

·  Ensure that all necessary documents such as right to work checks, new starter pack and interview records are completed for the HR & Payroll Assistant to complete the on-boarding process

·  Conduct exit interviews with employees and giving feedback to the HR Director and Managing Directors

·  Build and maintain effective working relationships with managers and other stakeholders, to ensure that HR plans and interventions deliver positive outcomes

·  Ability to assist with other operational HR and ER matters such as disciplinaries, grievances and performance management if required

·  Undertake project work as required

Policies

·  Advise on, draft, review and format HR policies and procedures and associated guidance documents for managers

·  Update the suite of policies as and when required in response to any changes in employment law, statutory entitlements, or operational changes

·  Suggest any new policies which need to be introduced to ensure that the business is always compliant

·  Support senior management and line managers to ensure that HR policies are understood and implemented
