Are you a food science graduate or have a passion for New Product Development or have you just finished your first contract working as an NPD Assistant ? Then this could be the role for you....

The Graduate NPD Technologist will role support the development and optimisation of the company product range in line with business strategy.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to degree level or equivalent with 1-2 year's experience in a development environment, or have experience in a similar role in the food/supplement industry (but not essential).

Experience in quality and/or specifications writing will also be a great advantage as these are some of the areas you will need to have a handle on in the role but not essential. More attention to detail is vital.

Knowledge of relevant Food and Supplement legislation would be advantageous, although not essential

The right candidate will work closely with the NPD Manager in the delivery of NPD pipeline and Innovation project.

The role requires the following:-

·  Creativity, excellent organisation skills and keen eye for detail.

·  Keen to learn and willing to wear a number of hats. You will assist the Technical Manager with legal and regulatory support.

·  Be proactive with product evaluation, formulation development and sample preparation

·  Carrying out sensory assessment, work with carefully selected flavour houses, and provide sensory feedback

·  Assessment of new raw material suitability

·  Be happy to work in a stand-alone role and be a flexible self-starter

·  Excellent Mathematical and computer skills (excel essential)

·  Highly Motivated, determined and fully committed to learning and growing within the company.

You will be required to base yourself between two location doing a few days in East Yorkshire and some days in West Yorkshire.

My salary for this role is £18k.
