Job Title: Full Stack Lead
Location: London
Remuneration: Daily rate from £800 to £1000
Contract Details: Fixed Term Contract for 6 months
Company Description:
Our client, a leading player in the Utilities industry, is seeking a talented Full Stack Lead to join their dynamic team in London. Our client specialises in trading gas, power, and LNG, enabling their upstream and power generation operations.
Responsibilities:
· Lead a fast-moving and highly skilled development team on the near real-time intraday risk and P&L platform.
· Collaborate closely with the trading business unit to gather requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
· Utilise and enhance in-house continuous delivery pipelines to deploy new features and functionalities.
· Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies and frameworks swiftly.
· Develop and maintain strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6 & ESNext), HTML5, CSS3, and state management libraries such as Zustand and Redux.
· Utilise AWS cloud services like S3, ECS, and Postgres to build scalable solutions.
· Leverage your commercial programming experience in Python or .NET for backend development.
· Apply your expertise in object-oriented programming, relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Postgres), and message queues (e.g., Kafka).
· Employ a pragmatic and practical approach to solve complex business problems.
· Embrace test-driven development and integration testing practises.
· Collaborate effectively with development team tools such as continuous integration systems and version control systems (e.g., Git).
· Demonstrate an eagerness to work with cutting-edge technologies and scalable solutions.
· Showcase strong communication skills and the ability to multitask.
· Thrive in an agile working environment.
Desirable Skills:
· Experience with containerisation (e.g., Docker).
· Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Svelte.
· An operational mindset with knowledge of high availability, monitoring, and diagnostics.
· Any previous knowledge of commodities trading will be advantageous.
