French speaking Commercial Assistant

Job description

We are currently recruiting a Commercial Assistant on behalf our well established client Celsa Steel UK. The largest manufacturer of steel reinforcement in the UK based in Cardiff.

Scope and Purpose:

Responsible for selling the organisation's products and/or services by telephone to establish and qualify clients/prospects.

Follow established procedures and guidelines to provide timely and effective administrative support to a sales team, unit, or department.

Key Accountabilities:

* Follow and where necessary develop established guidelines or checklists to answer routine internal and customer enquiries on product availability, prices, delivery times, and the status of orders so that enquiries are dealt with promptly and accurately.

* Communicating price information, price structures and price changes to customers

* Enter data into databases or other computerised systems to maintain up-to-date customer records; enter and track the status of orders and deliveries; to maintain sales commission and expense records; and to generate sales reports and statistics.

* Requires general knowledge of company, products, and/or services.

* Handle enquiries, establish and maintain customer record.

* Communicate rolling and delivery schedules to customers.

* Provide excellent customer service by keeping the customer fully updated on status of order.

* Communicate with staff from other areas in the organisation, such as production, warehouse, transport, or distribution, to confirm the status of customer orders and resolve customer complaints.

* Involvement with Total Quality Management (TQM) including 5s, Mini-Companies, Company and departmental objectives

* Checking orders against stock and analysing sales history

* Participating in weekly sales meetings

* Ad-hoc tasks as required.

Desirable:

* Administrative experience

Essential:

* Customer service experience
* French speaking
