Financial Controller
Irlam, Greater Manchester *Free onsite parking
£25,000 - £27,000 + Uncapped Profit Share Bonus
Monday - Friday 9:00AM - 5:00PM (4:30PM finish every Friday)

I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client who is one of the largest distributers into the healthcare industry and undergoing lots of exciting changes and subsequently looking to grow the team this year and beyond!

They are currently looking to recruit a capable and driven Financial Controller to the business.

Purpose

Working as part of the team under the finance manager to ensure the accurate and thorough running of the accounts function within the group.

Job Duties
-Maintenance of the ledgers/cashbooks/order processing for customers and suppliers
-Keeping the nominal codes & stock items up to date on the system including clearing data and implementing price changes.
-Processing any creditor payments.
-Reconciliation of supplier statements
-Creating and adjusting bill of materials.
-Completing month end procedures/journals to a high standard.
-Processing expenses
-Recording information for the P11D
-Forecasting weekly payments and any other required data.
-Quarterly preparation and submission of VAT returns including reconciliation of the account.
-Other ad-hoc duties as required

What we are looking for

-Previous experience within Accountancy.
-Previous experience/knowledge of the medical industry is highly desirable but not an necessity.
-Experience dealing with nominal codes/stocktaking and recording of the data.
-Experience dealing with foreign currencies and understanding of the impact on the accounting system.
-Flexible attitude towards work & happy to help with ad-hoc tasks.
