We are partnered with a prestige global organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant. This role is a job share that requires candidates available to work 30 hours per week across 4 days (The client can be flexible on which days you work). We are seeking a qualified candidate and will consider newly qualified applicants.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

·  Responsibility for specified UK entities including statutory accounting, corporation tax and company secretarial matters.

·  Provide support in the preparation and submission of all Financial Statements and Financial planning and analysis reporting supporting Assistant Controllers as required.

·  Provide support in the preparation and filing of Corporation tax returns, and assisting with Corporation tax enquires.

·  To provide support to Fleet & Finance Projects Manager.

·  To provide expert assistance in the area of SAP functionality to all UK and Ireland

·  To provide support to the Controller in the area of VAT and VAT enquiries

·  To provide Financial planning and analysis to associated functions and monitor monthly performance.

·  To provide support and management to the Inter-Co & Cost Accountant in the area of inter company charges for the UK and Ireland.

·  Maintenance of fixed asset tagging to facilitate the effective tracking of fixed assets.

·  Assist in projects and activities as defined by the Finance Director.

BACKGROUND/EDUCATION

·  Qualified accountant (will consider newly qualified candidates)

·  Good understanding of Corporation Tax and VAT

·  Excellent communication skills and ability to convey technical accounting and taxation issues in straightforward language to both Financial and non-Financial managers

·  Working knowledge and understanding of SAP
