Job title: Finance Manager

Location: Crewe/Hybrid

Duration: 12 months+

The role:

This position supports the Head of Finance and Risk - Battery Electric Vehicle. Main goal is to ensure complete Financial Control of one of the Programmes, ensuring all necessary processes are being complied to, and the necessary financial performance of the programme is transparent at any time, including risks and opportunities. There should be constant alignment within the Project Personnel and Functions, highlighting any potential opportunities or risks. Financial control will take account of any Revenue, Unit Cost, or Expenditures that are considered relevant. At times, there will also be responsibilities to evaluate other vehicle programmes that use the same platform.

Responsibilities:

·  Control and report the financial performance of the Project at regular intervals. This could be at specific Project Gateways, or during budget, forecast or planning round periods.

·  Timely communication into the Modules and Project Team is vital to ensure understanding and transparency, helping to identify target achievement.

·  Assisting and helping to create a Risk Management Programme within the Project, adherence to appropriate audit regulations should be considered.

·  Valuation of any scenario work that impacts this specific project, or potentially, any other vehicle programme that uses the same platform. This can be significant during Cycle Plan evaluations, and close alignment with the Financial Planning Team is crucial.

·  Active participation within the project team to constructively challenge Expenditures and unit costs to achieve the best financial result. Financial Risk Management is also key, ensuring timing and responsibility of each risk is clear.

Requirements:

·  Experience as a finance professional in a manufacturing or engineering environment, demonstrating strong commercial acumen.

·  Business modelling skills and proven experience in developing and implementing rounded business improvement plans.

·  Understanding and development of Board level reporting requirements

·  Understanding of Risk Management, although guidance from the Risk department will be given.

·  Ability to train, lead and coach a wide variety of finance and non-finance management and staff on financial issues.
