Within this role your main purpose will be to produce and pack all products to set recipes and specifications to the highest quality and hygiene standards.
Your responsibilities would be as follows:
-Portray a positive image of the company and its values in a professional manner at all times.
- Work reliably and accurately, adhering to all work instructions, process methodology and this must include accurate input of product information onto the computer system and the weighing of raw materials.
- You must ensure all machinery, mechanical handling equipment and safety devices are used in accordance with company procedure and Health and Safety training.
- Operate processing machine to produce products as required.
- Ensure all raw materials are checked prior to use, for quality, cleanliness, batch coding and use by dates.
- All waste is to be handled in a hygienic manner and your hands are to be washed prior to you returning to your normal duties.
- Ensure all raw materials that are being returned to the warehouse are clean, sealed to prevent foreign contamination and accurately labelled with all the relevant information and weighed.
- Ensure all chilled stock is stored in a chilled environment up until use
- Ensure all frozen stock is returned immediately after use.
- Ensure when handling all hazardous substances including food grade acids and dusty products that the appropriate protective equipment is worn
- Ensure all cleaning chemicals are handled in accordance with company training and diluted to the manufacturers recommended levels.
- Ensure all production/cleaning records are updated on a daily basis
- Liaise with quality control and your direct line regarding and non-conformity, relating to incoming goods.
- Report any raw materials losses or over usage to your direct line manager.
- Ensure that all raw materials entering the processing areas are stored safely and efficiently and that the goods inwards area is kept clear, clean and tidy at all times.
- Any other duties which might reasonably be requested in association with this role in order to meet the needs of the business.
- Adhere to all company rules and procedures, paying particular attention to health and safety
