Adecco are currently looking for a full time entry level assistant buyer to work for their client at a leading Global organisation based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. The entry level assistant buyer will be working 36 hours a week and the working hours are Monday to Friday 9-5. The entry level assistant buyer will be providing temporary cover for a minimum of 3 months and should be available to start immediately. The entry level assistant buyer will be providing support to the Small Domestic Appliances Department.

Role Responsibility

As an Assistant Buyer you will assist in creating profitable customer driven ranges and promotions for your defined product area to deliver sales and margin targets. You will be responsible to source a defined range of inspiring and aspirational product within a buying plan to support the delivery of the customer plan.

* Assist in developing an up to date and innovative product range
* Deliver sales / margin and markdown targets
* Possible issues with our sales / margin and markdown targets are identified
* Launch dates are tracked and achieved
* Your systems are accurate and up to date

The Ideal Candidate

As an Assistant Buyer, you will need knowledge of the following:

* Previous buying experience in a retail business
* Knowledge of using Microsoft applications
* Experience of developing relationships with multiple suppliers
* Understanding of country and global supply chain
* Negotiation skills
* Customer and competitor insight
