Adecco in Bolton are looking to recruit an Enforcement Officer to work for the local authority on a full time interim basis; this will include evening and weekend working.

A full uniform will be provided including stab vest, body cam and mobile phone.

Key duties include:
* To drive forward our enforcement activities against unlawful waste practices in the district. This will include enforcement against householders who present their domestic waste incorrectly for collection.
* Liaison with other departments and other authorities and bodies, such as the police, fire service and community housing associations to develop systems of working to improve enforcement activities.
* You will work as part of the team which delivers both the strategic and operational development of waste collection services, including refuse and recyclables collection, street cleansing and fly-tipping removal.

Key Skills/Experience:
* Experience of taking prosecutions through the legal system.
* Experience of issuing fixed penalty fines and issuing legal notices.
* Dealt with difficult and potentially confrontational situations.
* Wide knowledge of current environmental legislation including the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005.
* Experience of working within an enforcement environment or similar role.
* Able to co-ordinate and prioritise activities.
