Job Title: Electronics Technician

Location: Hull

Remuneration: c£28,000

Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time

Responsibilities:

·  Set up and run SMT (Surface Mount Technology) lines to specified efficiency and process quality levels.

·  Address all line SMT issues, resolving any machine-related stoppages, often without immediate support.

·  Input and prepare process control documentation.

·  Check and load components.

·  Conduct visual inspection to ensure good quality product, working to IPC Class 3 standard (following training).

·  Hand-fit components when required.

·  Ensure SMT machines are maintained regularly according to instructions.

·  Take full responsibility for quality and output.

·  Raise quality issues and provide feedback.

What we're looking for:

·  Ideally, some knowledge of SMT assembly equipment and assembly processes, although training will be given.

·  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

·  PC/IT literate, using PCs and tablets as required.

·  Motivated and able to manage time effectively.

·  Able to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.

Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking an enthusiastic Electronics Technician to join their team in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and be part of a dynamic and innovative organisation.

As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, changing over, and running the equipment used in establishing Surface Mount Technology electronic circuits. Your role will involve collaborating with SMT technicians and engineers on PCBs for critical defect data. You will be fully trained to operate the equipment and be responsible for running the line without support.

In this Late Shift position, you will work from Monday to Thursday from 13:45 to 22:00, and on Fridays from 13:45 to 20:45.

To excel in this role, you should have good attention to detail and be able to follow instructions accurately. Experience of soldering would be a plus, although boards will be reworked offline, so this is not essential.
