My market leading client, one of the most established vehicle manufacturers and distribution companies in the UK are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer. They are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their reputable team based in Luton. Working closely with other team members, this is a unique opportunity to be involved in a fast paced and exciting role.

The Electrical Engineer must have:

·  An electrical design focused background;

·  Robust knowledge and understanding of electronic and electrical systems;

·  Awareness of fault testing/finding of vehicle electrical issues;

·  A strong understanding and interest in automotive systems and industry;

·  A strong understanding of electrical systems and connectivity using CAD for drawings.

The role of the Electrical Engineer will involve:

·  Evaluate electrical systems for emergency services vehicles, products, components, and applications;

·  Confirm system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods;

·  Being involved in the conversion of vehicles from concept to delivery;

·  Produce electrical harness drawings to be used by suppliers by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials;

·  Use CAD tools to draw Electrical Schematics to simulate and validate developments prior to manufacture;

·  Develop harness installation procedures using feedback observations from operators;

·  Assure product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities;

·  Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests;

·  Comply to O/V / Industry Standards, and ensure all electrical enhancements made to the vehicle are compliant with O/V standards and pose no safety risk to the users;

·  Maintain product data base by entering data onto "Bluelight" local bespoke application

·  Complete projects by training and guiding technicians;

·  Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;

·  Anticipate future developments;

·  Produce technical documentation to be used in conjunction with production and aftersales material.
