Cheshire Constabulary are currently recruiting for a Distribution Assistant to support the force in the quick and effective movement of post and packages around the force area for the next 6 months.

This role requires a driving licence.

You will be responsible for the picking, packing and delivery of post and packages (including uniform, specialist kit and other equipment) across the force area. You will be responsible for the franking and collection of post, and movement of internal mail. You will also take responsibility of the movement of sensitive materials including forensic evidence within Cheshire.

When not driving you would be responsible for the stores, where a level of physical work is required as you would be moving boxes and smaller items by hand to be picked and packed, or logged back in to the station.

Some experience using IT is preferable.

Working hours are 0900-1600.

This role is subject to a background check.
