Design/Application Engineer

- Salary; £23.500k -£26.000k (Salary dependant on experience)

- Location; Worthing

- Permanent

- Full time

This is a great opportunity to join an expanding electrical manufacturing company in the centre of Worthing. As a Design/Application Engineer you will be responsible for producing the engineering documentation required in the manufacture of modified or new electrical/mechanical/optical connector or cable assemblies.

Key Responsibilities;

-Providing a good standard of support to both sales team and customers

-Must have good people skills you will be dealing with day to day customers and responsible for winning new business

-To be responsible for creating layouts, assembly and detailed manufacturing drawings and other documentation from start to finish using the 2D / 3D CAD system

-An exciting opportunity to work with a new product development team completing all engineering tasks required from initial idea right the way through to product launch

-To assist the quality in the technical evaluation of product failures or returns

-To generate bills of materials for both new configurations and new products

-To provide a CAD support service to the company creating data sheets, work instructions and marketing literature

Knowledge Skills and Experience;

-Background in a manufacturing environment

-Previous experience required within similar role

-Clean driving licence preferred but not essential
