My Client is looking for an Insurance Account Handler to join their team based in Cheltenham. Their office is a lovely modern working environment, with lots of relaxed team meeting and breakout areas.
Our client operates within the commercial insurance sector, and the role is Administrative in nature focusing on reconciling underwriter statements and collecting premiums. It's a perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, would like to steer away from the call handling side of insurance and would like to work in commercial insurance.
General Duties will involve:
*Ensuring all premium payment warranties are collected in compliance
*Minimising losses through credit risk by: ensuring all premiums are collected, issuing and/or reconciliation of client statements, monitoring and pursuing aged debts and maintaining records.
*Communicating internally within the company and externally with clients, in order to resolve queries.
*Settling balances when funds are received, subject to approval procedures
*Carrying out individual projects or tasks designated by your Manager/Assistant Manager and any other general administrative duties.
*Previous experience in an insurance environment is essential
*A minimum of grade C at GCSE (or equivalent) in Mathematics
*Strong Microsoft administration skills including Microsoft Excel and Outlook, is required
In return our client can offer a salary of £16,000-18,000k dependant on experience. In addition, our client will provide extensive training schemes and an opportunity to gain your CII.
