Role: Credit Collection Agent fluent Italian/English

Location: Hammersmith, West London, United Kingdom


Minimises financial risks and losses to the company as a result of overdue customer payments. Wherever possible reactivates customers with individual payment plans to overcome short term changes in personal circumstances. At all times seeks to identify, retain and promote otherwise productive customer relationships


·  Uses any and all available permissible means to establish contact with customers with outstanding debts

·  Communicates with customers as necessary using telephone, email, SMS or written correspondence in designated language(s) to remind them of their overdue payments

·  Negotiates payment of outstanding debts and as necessary and appropriate agrees and manages individual payment plans

·  Ensures all debtor communication and interaction is discharged in a professional manner and in accordance with company policy and applicable laws

·  Works diligently to achieve SLA's as agreed from time to time and to carry out other tasks as directed by the line manager

·  Communicates with all other departments and team members, providing information and assistance as necessary to support the overall aims and objectives of the business

·  Uses designated IT systems as directed for the recording, management and reporting of credit collection cases

Skills & Requirements

·  Listening: When speaking to a customer with an overdue payment, it is important to listen to why it is overdue. This will help you to determine a suitable solution

·  Negotiation: Working with customers to agree a payment plan, or outright repayment of a debt requires good negotiation skills

·  Communication: You will spend much of your time on the phone talking with customers. Being a good and confident communicator is vital

·  Business Development: Every interaction with a customer is an opportunity to develop the relationship. Some experience of tele-sales would be an advantage

·  Persistence: Some customers in debt do not wish to be found or may not be responsive when contacted. Successful Credit Collection Agents rarely take no for an answer
