Job description

We are currently recruiting a Contracts Assistant /Administrator for our reputable client based in Newport. To join their business on a temporary contract initially with a view to becoming permanent for the right applicant.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To assist the Contracts Manager in the day to day operation of the department in accordance with established procedures.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Provide timely and effective administrative support to the Contracts Manager.
*Process customer invoices ensuring a high level of accuracy.
*Manage the transport invoices for all BRC depots and return documentation, ensuring costs are accurate and liaising with the Finance department.
*Liaise with key customers ensuring all invoices are passed for payment.
*Receive customer call offs for processing and sending to relevant depots.
*Communicate with staff from other depots.
*Maintain the customer complaint register.
*Manage the customer dispute log by chasing and resolving account queries.
*Maintain priority spreadsheet for the production department.
*Accurate filing and retrieval of documentation.
*Scanning POD's.
*Answering the main telephone number and exhibiting impeccable phone skills, forwarding calls and taking messages.
*When requested, assist the Data Entry Clerk by inputting data from schedules onto a computer terminal in an efficient and accurate manner.
*Verify keyed data is correct.
*Prioritise tasks to ensure that resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.
*Liaise on a daily basis with your colleagues and update them on any developments, ensuring a high level of team relationship exists.
