Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for:
· Operating CNC machines to produce turbine products, following work instructions and meeting company standards
· Ensuring safe machinery setup and loading material into machines
· Understanding engineering drawings and utilising CMM readouts for various operations
· Examining machinery production output to verify its acceptability
· Performing gauging and CMM measurements of components to ensure conformity
· Maintaining and updating records about the machine's operation
· Regularly inspecting machines for mechanical and safety issues
· Working a flexible schedule to meet production demand during busy periods
Essential Skills:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
· Completed a recognised full Level 3 apprenticeship, or an NVQ Level 3 or Technical certificate in a relevant engineering field
· Experience in CNC machining
· Strong attention to detail
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Effective communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
· A proactive outlook towards work and a commitment to continuous improvement
· Pride in maintaining a clean work area and surroundings
The following skills are desirable, but not essential:
· Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Mazatrol, Heidenhain, or Okuma controls
