Our Client is looking for an Claims Technician to join their team based in Cheltenham. Their office is a lovely modern working environment, with lots of relaxed team meeting and breakout areas. The successful candidate will be an Claims Technician looking to further their career within the insurance industry.

Our client operates within the commercial insurance sector, and the role focuses on maximising new business opportunities and achieving high retention rates on existing accounts. You will provide technical support to your team/colleagues and deal with all technical and claimant issues and assist in the daily administration of claims. It's a perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys working within insurance and would like to steer away from the call handling side of insurance, and would like to work in commercial insurance with a Lloyd's of London market broker.

General Duties will involve:

*Acting as the point of contact and representing your team to your clients, underwriters, brokers and agents.
*Dealing with general enquires on all claims handled by you.
*Managing day to day duties and being able to prioritise and identifying urgent matters and treating them suitably
*Assessing the validity of claims
*Processing insurance and re-insurance claims transactions
*Maintaining data records and reports

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications:

*Previous administration experience in insurance claims handling; due to the nature of this role we cannot accept applications from telephone/call handlers.
*Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
*Able to prioritise workload when working with high volumes
*Strong oral and written communication skills
*Competent use of Microsoft office.
*A natural ability for mathematics

Benefits:
In return our client can offer a salary of £16,000-£18,000 dependant on experience. In addition, our client will provide extensive training schemes and an opportunity to gain your CII.
