Job Description:

* To make sure that the kitchen, restaurant and service areas are clean, tidy and attractive during opening times.
* The basic preparation of food and hot beverages including the preparation of vegetables and snacks.
* Simple cooking including the reconstitution of prepared food e.g. bake frozen pastries.
* To make sure food is prepared and served promptly and to work quickly during busy periods.
* To make sure portion control, preparation and storage methods avoid wastage and keep costs down.
* To help prepare and present the food in a way which will encourage customers to buy and enjoy their meals.
* Monitor food quality, service temperatures and standards of cleaning and hygiene to conform to food safety legislation.
* Ensure the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic. Wash utensils and dishes and make sure they are stored appropriately.
* Clean the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas.
* The transferring and serving of meals or hot beverages to the meetings.
* To carry out any other duties as may reasonably required by Catering manager.
