Adecco Stevenage are currently recruiting for a Business Assistant to join our well established client, based in Stevenage. My client is a leader in their field and have been trading for over 50 years.

Main Focus of the Role:

The Business Assistant is focused on ensuring company maintains the highest levels of service to its clients.

The BA will provide vital support to the Financial Planning Assistants and Financial Planners in servicing our existing client base and when taking on new clients. The overarching team is responsible for making sure financial advice is both suitable for the client(s) and compliant within industry regulations. You will be expected to have some industry experience, and basic knowledge of pension and investment products and solutions.

Duties:

·  Accurate input of information onto their back office system iO (Intelligent Office), updating clients and policy information

·  Dealing with general daily post & scanning

·  Processing Letters of Authority, updating iO (back office) and producing relevant spreadsheets

·  Preparing New Business, 1 st Meeting and Annual Review Packs

·  Supporting FPAs with their New Business inputting (Provider Websites, WRAP Platforms & iO)

·  Processing Non-Complex New Business (checking applications and all paperwork has been fully completed and ensuring iO is fully completed and updated at all times)

·  Preparation of Non-Complex suitability letters/Reports

·  Booking Client Appointments

·  Downloading various Literature from Provider/WRAP Platform websites

·  Dealing with FPA/Client queries

·  Switchboard Duties (Holiday cover)

·  General Administration

·  Maintain positive relations with Insurers and their representatives

·  Responsible for ensuring own knowledge kept up to date

·  Complying with the FCA Rulebook and the firm's internal procedures at all times

Person Specification

·  Be able to operate in a busy environment, delivering work to tight timescales

·  Be able to multi-task, managing several client cases at once

·  Be able to work well as part of a team, supporting colleagues where necessary

·  Be a good communicator, keeping FPAs, Financial Planners and Private Client Manager up to date with client work

·  Be able to set realistic expectations to ensure we do not over-promise and under-deliver

·  Be willing to share knowledge, skills and experience with others to collectively develop the team and improve the service we provide

·  Be proactive, offering new and improved ways of working

·  Have strong attention to detail, following workflows carefully and ensuring documentation is produced to a high standard

·  Be professional, with a good telephone manner

·  Be assertive, willing to have constructive conversations for the good of the client and the organisation

It would be helpful if applicant has:

·  Good working knowledge of Intelligent Office (iO), our client database

·  Experience of key provider software including Standard Life Wrap, Elevate, Ascentric and Aegon/Aegon ARC platforms

·  Good pension experience, including knowledge of older pension schemes, occupational and safeguarded benefits and SIPPs

·  Good knowledge of investment and protection policies
