Banksman - job description


*Banksman responsibilities, responsible for assisting in the manoeuvring and loading/unloading of vehicles
*Awareness of legislation pertaining to the above
*Strict adherence to Health & Safety requirements
*The role holder works as part of the service delivery team that is aligned to one or more customers. You will have focus on the following:
a) Delivery of service that meets SLA and delights the customer (KPI: SLA achieved & high customer satisfaction)
b) Supporting the achievement of productivity improvements (KPI: Value for customer & enhanced margin)
c) Contributing to service transformation and business growth (KPI: Further profitable service revenue)


The work undertaken by the role holder is completed in line with the Service Level Agreement and Statement of Work relevant for the customer.

Primary Responsibilities:

*Banksman duties - responsible for the loading/unloading of lorries and directing the movement of other plant.
*Strict adherence to onsite Health and Safety requirements at all times
*Receipt and onward timely delivery of large consignments
*Liaison with recipients for consignments which cannot be delivered
*Daily check to ensure Loading bay clear and deliveries have been collected
*Liaison with other onsite vendors regarding handover of outgoing consignments
*Maintaining a professional and safe working environment at all times
*Perform postal duties including receipt of mail and parcels, sorting and delivery by department to client timescale
*Perform outgoing postal and courier duties ensuring dispatch by most efficient and cost effective method
*Liaise with customers in a professional manner via telephone and face to face, advising on their postal requirements and relevant information
*Responsible for a number of day to day office duties including:
a)Delivering parcels, consumables, paper
b)Responding to ad-hoc customer requests
c)Other duties as required

Working Hours: shift 1 week 6am - 2.30pm, 1 week 9.30am-6pm alternate weeks

Salary: �12ph

End Date: 2 Months
