An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Attendance Management officer to join a public organisation based in East London.

If you are successful for this post you will be required to do the following:

·  To provide support, assistance and direction to Secondary Schools; to enable each provision to achieve outstanding school attendance.

·  To provide a casework / assertive outreach service as directed by the line manager; promoting ways of working that improve and maintain individual pupil and whole school attendance.

·  Promote good practice and schools compliance with relevant legislation, national guidance and for instance Attendance Guidance and Children Missing Education Protocols.

·  Provide an assertive outreach service to schools including casework, home visit investigations and liaison with other professionals and schools.

·  Work closely with Pupil Services, Early Intervention, Safeguarding Services and Home Education; undertake joint working, joint home visits as appropriate.

·  Assist School's Attendance Officers with attendance and punctuality initiatives such as register sweeps, late gates, and early bird programme, presentations to parents and pupils and school based meetings.
