Adecco are currently recruiting for a Assistant Management Accountant to join our client based in Northampton. This is a permanent opportunity paying £30k - £35k per annum dependant on experience. The successful candidate will be working within a up-and-coming, expanding company and will be available to commence employment ASAP.

We are looking for a strong character, who can use their own initiative and think on their feet. We are looking for a proactive and highly motivated individual with proven ability to work efficiently and on their own within a fast paced working environment. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous however is not essential.

Role Requirements / Responsibilities:

Assist the Finance Director in preparing monthly profit & loss; balance sheets; cash flows reports; standard management reports for the three trading companies to a strict timetable. This will include various inputs such as, but not limited to, intercompany recharges; overhead prepayments and accruals; purchase order accruals; fixed asset movements.

Assist in reconciliation of balance sheets accounts, variance (to budget) analysis of monthly results including review of job costs and analysis of margins as required.

Preparation and issue of key performance indicators to divisional managers.

Provide support to Credit Control, as and when required

Assist the Finance Director to reconcile and maintain cost and sales analyses on certain (These should be specified for accountability) contracts including reconciliation of rebates and retentions.

Other monthly or annual returns such as National Statistics Office requests; CITB Levy returns; reports for annual insurance renewal; retentions reconciliation; employee expense analyses.

Maintain the Fixed Asset Ledger and the Motor Insurers Database.

Assist in provision and analysis of information for the annual audit and costing of annual stock take.

Involvement in banking; treasure; VAT and other HMRC returns as required.

Assist with payroll functions and RTI returns, Upload and reconciliation of auto enrolment pension deductions.

Production of weekly and monthly cash summary

Develop the companies' systems, manual and computer, both in substance and user friendliness, to improve control, accuracy and productivity.

Experience within an accounts role previously
Excellent administrative skills
Prioritise and manage own workloads to meet deadlines
Good attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work within a team and on own initiative
