Our client is one of the UK's largest organisations within its field, based within the West London area. They're currently recruiting for a Department and Committee Assistant (Assistant Administrator). You will have excellent communication skills and impeccable written skills including exceptional grammar, punctuation and tone and attention to detail.

The role will see you supporting the general secretaries within the department and reporting to the Department and Committee Officer. You'd be organising travel, accommodation and putting together membership paper work. Further to this dealing with various correspondences both internal and external.

Outlined below is a list of daily delegations (This is list is not inclusive):
*Managing the General Secretary's diary
*Dealing with incoming and outgoing mail on a daily basis
*Preparing appropriate papers for the General Secretary for meetings and visits
*Providing project support to the General Secretary, including information gathering/collection, and preparation of reports
*Preparing the board of Trustees papers for the General Secretary
*Arranging travel and accommodation as necessary
*Arranging meetings and preparing the relevant papers and agendas.
*Taking notes and recording action decisions taken by the committee
*Ensuring the committee's paper work is produced in a timely manner and all standards of work are kept.
*Maintain the communications site and update as and when needed.

Qualifications & Experience
*Well established administrative skills or equivalent qualification
*Good standard of general education or equivalent experience
*Relevant experience within an administrative role
*Experience of handling confidential information
*Experience of taking notes at meetings

Desirable
*Experience working for a charity or public sector organisation
*Experience working with a Board of Trustees
*Involvement in coordination of projects
